No Meds, No Surgery, Permanent Results
Did you know that 90 million Americans snore? Even more are negatively affected by snoring if you consider that people who hear loud snoring don’t sleep well, either. Snoring can cause sleep deprivation and is the primary symptom of obstructive sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea afflicts approximately 18 million Americans, which is 1 in 15. Of the three types of sleep apnea, obstructive (OSA), is most prevalent.
While you can opt for using a CPAP to treat both snoring and sleep apnea, CPAP has many cons. Though modern CPAPs are less noisy and the masks are more comfortable than in previous generations, the patient must wear a mask all night, every night. Many patients cannot tolerate CPAP due to issues with sleep position, condensation, or noise. Traveling with CPAP can also be a pain.
In contrast, Vivos therapy permanently adjusts the anatomy of the mouth and face to eliminate or greatly reduce both snoring and obstructive sleep apnea–all with a simple, comfortable, non-constricting oral appliance that’s easy to use and even pack when you travel.
Welcome to ARiAH Albuquerque Restorative Integrative Airway Health – New Mexico Sleep and TMJ
In two locations, at Napa Family Dental in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Smiles in Rio Rancho, ARiAH – New Mexico Sleep and TMJ offers a comprehensive approach to patient care. At your first appointment, we’ll review your health history in detail and conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and other oral structures, as well as your head, neck, and jaw joints.
You may undergo a CBCT scan, as well, so we can get a comprehensive image of your oral anatomy. If you and your doctor deem Vivos to be appropriate therapy for your condition, the doctor will order intraoral photos and specific measurements of your oral structures.
Dr. FischerHahm will invest time to understand your symptoms and concerns. We will communicate with your sleep physician, and possibly other professionals on your healthcare team, to coordinate the best possible care. Our mutual goal is to make you the healthiest person you can be, so you can enjoy the energy, strength, and focus that contribute to excellent quality of life.
Vivos for Snoring and Sleep Apnea
Vivos therapy is revolutionary in that without surgery, it permanently adjusts the anatomy that contributes to apneic episodes.
You will enjoy peace of mind using Vivos because it’s non invasive, non-pharmaceutical, non-surgical, and produces lasting results.
Vivos is a custom-fit oral appliance that combines the strategies of the most effective snoring and sleep apnea appliance therapies. Vivos works by increasing the upper airway to reduce or eliminate soft tissue blockages while you sleep. However, Vivos accomplishes so much more!
Wearing your Vivos oral appliance nightly will remodel your upper dental arch to reshape bone and correct occlusion issues that contribute to snoring or OSA, for results that last long after treatment ends. This airway therapy modality improves breathing to not only reduce the problematic symptoms of OSA, but to improve how you feel and perform during waking hours.
Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treatment in the Comfort of Your Own Bed
Once your custom-fit Vivos appliance is ready, you’ll take it home and conduct nightly therapy by simply wearing the device while you sleep. Follow your doctor’s instructions and comply with nightly use–not skipping nights–to stay on track with your treatment timeline. Some patients enjoy more restful nights immediately, while others notice results after weeks of treatment.
